"bout time! High time we got this bloggamy schmoggamy thing happening. To fill you in lots of things have happened to us in the past, so many in fact that I'm starting to forget them, you argue that they weren't truly memorable then but if you knew how we rolled... well then you probably understand!
Let's start with this year though which as a band has undoubtably been our best. We've played live to air twice, having visited Three D Radio's Sound Lounge and we displayed much versatility when we did a stripped back set for Radio Adelaide as part of their Live Music Fest, which we haven't heard yet but we promise to post it if it's OK. We released our highly unanticipated EP: Hook, Sinker and Line availble online everywhere including iTunes, yeah damn right i-mutha effin'-chunes! Oh, and we got featured on MusicSA's page, May was ReadyMade month. Plus we've enjoyed great gigs with audiences finding themselves pleasantly suprised and quite willing to kindly shell out $5 of their hard earned for one of lovely CDs, bargain. $5 is cheaper than beer, and our EP is unlikely to give you a hangover.
Notable highlight stand out gigs for mine were the launch at The Crown & Anchor in May and that gig at The Grace Emily where the other band were complete twats, we stole the show and possibly their rider.
Now there's been a lot of talk about Jo moving to Mt. Gambier and this is true, however this is NOT the end of the band. We gearing up to write a new set, record it and hopefully get it out later next year. But you know time, money, life type things will certainly push that back a bit, no doubt.
Still stay tuned, you are listening to The ReadyMades.
